Associate Attorney - Civil litigation
Mastagni Holstedt, A.P.C., seeks attorneys with 2 or more years of civil litigation experience. The ideal candidates will have broad experience with civil litigation, including: negligence claims, motor vehicle accidents, wrongful death, intentional torts, employment discrimination and harassment, contract disputes, insurance bad faith, legal malpractice, 42 U.S.C. Section 1983 claims (particularly on the defense side), many other types of catastrophic injuries and traumatic brain injuries, all related pre-litigation case work up, and state and federal trial court practice.
An Associate Attorney will be primarily responsible for handling all aspects of a significant caseload. This includes prompt client communication, retaining and working with expert witnesses and consultants, preparing and filing pleadings, conducting discovery, taking and defending depositions, witness preparation, law and motion hearings, conducting trials, drafting and arguing appeals and all other aspects of litigation.
Admission to the California State Bar, immediately transferable skills, excellent client communication skills, excellent writing skills, and a willingness to work long hours is also required.
