Responsibilities:

Hands-on product liability litigation management and associated legal advice for cases arising throughout U.S. Key responsibilities include:

• Actively manage a docket of cases involving the defense of products liability and other personal injury claims.
• Provide input into and implement defense strategies developed by department leadership.
• Review and analyze accident reports, evaluate incoming claims and, where appropriate, direct preliminary investigations to appropriate outside counsel on local or regional level.
• Confer with the Engineering Department and other company personnel and manage defense strategy and selection of expert witnesses.
• Prepare company employees for testimony. Attend and assist counsel at all major depositions including plaintiffs, experts, and company witnesses.
• Represent the company in-person at all substantive hearings, settlement conferences, and trials on cases under his/her direct management.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 
  Juris Doctor Degree in law
• Valid license to practice law
• A minimum of seven (7) years of active product liability defense litigation experience in a law firm or with hands-on oversight within a corporate law department
• Recent taking/defending of deposition and presentations in trial preferred
• Must be willing to travel extensively
• Must be willing to relocate to west central Ohio

Location: The position will be onsite at the Corporate Headquarters in New Bremen, OH. Interested candidates must be willing to live in West Central Ohio. Relocation assistance will be available.
