Bartender and Evening Closer Job at Savage River Lodge
Savage River Lodge, located just outside Frostburg, MD, is looking for a full time bartender and closer. This position will be responsible for high-end bar service and fine dining restaurant service.
In addition to helping to manage the other service staff, this position will also be responsible for organization and cleanliness, bar inventory and stocking, and assisting guest services when needed. This position will close the restaurant and have end of night responsibilities including cashing out staff, overseeing sidework, and closing up the building.
The hours for this position are:
Wednesday: 4:00pm - close (usually 10pm)
Thursday: 3:00pm - close (usually 10pm)
Friday: 2:00pm - close (usually 10pm)
Saturday: 1:00pm - close (usually 10:30pm
Sunday: 2:00pm - close (usually 10pm)
Each night will include bartending duties, and subsequent gratuities, but Friday and Saturday the main job will be bartending. The possiblity also exists for the position to take tradiitonal service tables.
Bartending experience is required for this position and the right candidate will have a guest oriented mindset and be willing to create an upscale atmosphere.
The pay starts at $14 per hour and goes up from there, with nightly bartending tips. Servers are required to tip out 10% on bar sales, and 5% on wine bottle sales. Our wine list includes 125 varietals and wine knowledge is a definite plus!
Hourly rate is negotiable for someone with advanced experience, along with management positions.
