Behavioral Analyst (BCBA) Job at Seminole Tribe of Florida
The Seminole Tribe of Florida has a Children’s Center for Diagnostics & Therapy (CCDT) Program that offers services for 0-17 years old. The CCDT Program strives to provide its services while using culturally-sensitive and effective treatments, and treating tribal members with compassion, respect and dignity. We work to coordinate the best possible care within our multidisciplinary team, as well as with other departments within the Tribe, while respecting each client's right to self-determination and privacy.
We provide services in Preschools, K-12 Schools, office, and in-home settings. The staff schedule is full-time Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm, however flexibility is needed to observe behavior either earlier or later in the day. Note the team meets at the Brighton Reservation at 500 Harney Pond Rd, Okeechobee, FL 34974. We do have tribal vehicles to switch into as you drive to other Reservations including Immokalee, Clewiston, and Hollywood. We do provide a fuel stipend if you live more than 40 miles away from the Brighton Office.
Position Summary
The incumbent in this position is responsible for providing individualized services to Tribal children and youth with special health care needs referred to the Center for Behavioral Health Children’s Center for Diagnostics & Therapy (CCDT) Program of the Seminole Tribe of Florida. The individual provides functional assessments and behavioral diagnostics to identify children’s needs; writes and monitors behavior intervention plans and provides one on one treatment based therapy in the home or school as referred to the program.
Qualifications / Requirements
Master’s degree on Behavior Analysis or related field is required. A minimum of five (5) years of experience working as Behavioral Analyst is required. Current and valid certification of the State of Florida as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) is required. Completion of the 8-hour supervision course with current and active certification to supervise, achieved all qualifications to supervise Registered Behavioral Technicians (RBT) per the RBT Supervisors Requirements section of the RBT handbook, is required. Individual must possess a valid Florida Driver’s License. Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal skills. Demonstrate proficiency utilizing Microsoft software packages. Ability to travel to all STOF’s Reservations and work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
