Our Ideal Business Development Manager will:
Establish new sales in existing and new channels for Diversified Products’ brand portfolio. This role will be responsible for working independently as well as collaboratively with the Sales team driving incremental sales in the Southern California Region.

In this role at IPS, you will:

  • Deliver monthly sales objectives
  • Create demand at contractor/end-user level and guide resulting opportunities to channel partners
  • Identify and quantify opportunities/plans to grow sales; generate & follow-up on customer leads

Work closely with sales and marketing teams to gain early adoption of new products

  • Work with sales team and customers to establish and solidify working relationships that will lead to incremental sales
  • Engage current users to expand awareness, educate, ask for referrals, identify new opportunities and develop account intelligence
  • Capable of understanding customer pain points, requirements and correlating potential business to value
  • Aptitude to manage numerous requests and time demands concurrently, while achieving sales goals

Your Education and/or Background Experience will have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Marketing or Engineering and/or comparable Technical School, training or field experience preferred
  • 3+ years’ experience in building/construction sales
  • Experience calling on contractors, builders, distributors and product engineers
  • Position requires 60%-70% overnight travel
  • Proficiency with Microsoft suite of office products – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $42,193.58 - $142,756.91 per year
