Cashier/Barista/Food Prep Kaufman Tx Job at Latham Bakery
We are looking for an outgoing person to prepare and serve hot and cold beverages, including various types of coffee and tea.
Employee responsibilities include educating customers on our drink and pastry menu and taking orders as well as some food prep.
To be successful in this role, you should have great customer service and team work skills
Hours are either 8am-4pm or 10am-4pm
Note: this position’s compensation includes tips.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers as they enter
- Give customers drink menus and answer their questions regarding ingredients
- Take orders while paying attention to details (e.g. preferences of coffee blend, dairy and sugar ratios)
- Serve beverages and prepared food, like cookies, pastries and muffins
- Receive and process payments (cash and credit cards)
- Keep the bar area clean
- Check if brewing equipment operates properly and report any maintenance needs
- Comply with health and safety regulations
- Communicate customer feedback to managers
Skills
- Previous work experience as a Barista or Cashier
- Knowledge of sanitation regulations
- Flexibility to work various shifts
- Basic math skills
- Ability to gauge customers’ preferences
- Excellent communication skills
- High school diploma or enrolled in home school. Must be able to work shift hours
- Food handlers certificate required within a week of accepted job offer.

Pay: $11.00 - $14.00 per hour
