Job Description:

Seeking a Chemist for a direct hire position in North Kingstown, RI. This position is 100% onsite and is 2ndor 3rd shift. Pay is dependent on experience.

Responsibilities:

· Coordinate and perform the analytical and metals analysis on incoming, in-process and final product samples. The testing is performed in the labs designated for MFT. The testing provides the quality checkpoints in the manufacturing process.

· Audit test results, batch records and documentation for accuracy and completeness. Utilize statistical tools to validate quality data and assure correlation to guidelines and specifications. Utilize all elements of the quality system (i.e. NCMR's, ICAR's, etc.) to identify, classify and control the status of products produced. Both written and electronic means are utilized for analysis, tracking and record retention. This process provides validation to the manufacturing and quality processes.

· Perform/maintain routine calibration and/or light maintenance of laboratory equipment, instrumentation and standards. This may also include the coordination of outside service calls. These tasks assure that the equipment and instrumentation is capable of providing specified measurement requirements, thus allowing for accurate decisions regarding product acceptance.

· Provide training to other team members on those functions in which he/she has been certified. The training provides for a more flexible and versatile team.

· Project management and training not limited to: Gage R&R studies, test method development, procedure writing, and MFT process flows. This work allows for process improvements, cost savings and cycle time reductions.

· General housekeeping practices including the proper handling of process waste. This allows for a clean and safe environment.

Skills:

· Experience working in a chemistry lab

· Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry

· Testing incoming, in-process, and final product samples (preferred)

· Use statistical software tools to analyze data (preferred)

· Metals analysis (preferred)

· Lotus Notes, SAP, or SQC pack (preferred)

· Experience working in the manufacturing industry (preferred)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
