Chief Financial Officer Job at Volt Workforce Solutions
Volt Professional Search is currently partnering with a $400-500 mill privately owned furniture company in the San Fernando Valley who is looking for a Chief Financial Officer to add to the team. The CFO will sit full time onsite in their corporate office in the San Fernando Valley and would report to the CEO and Founder. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
The ideal candidate will have 10-15 years of total experience with at least 3 years of recent Controller to CFO-level experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods or similar industry. Other skills and qualifications include:
- Continuously analyze the financial condition of the organization and make recommendations on strategy to organization’s executive team
- Direct preparation of financial reporting to include income statements, balance sheets, budgeting, cash flow, shareholder, bank, tax returns, and government/regulatory reporting
- Review and ensure adherence to internal controls and financial procedures
- Review reporting trends and make recommendations to executive team to improve margins
- Manage accounting department (AP, AR, Credit and Collections), budget preparation, and internal and external audit
- Manage and leverage financial planning and analysis of department to support forecasting and business decisions
- Oversee corporate banking and lending requirements, which includes maintaining outstanding banking relationships and strategic vendor alliances
- Represent the business to financial partners, institutions, auditors and other stakeholders
- Analyze operational efficiency and identify growth opportunities for organization in the areas of capital budgeting, sales forecasting, and brand performance
- Analyze, develop, and execute financial returns of unique business initiatives
- Use forecasting models and activity-based analyses to provide financial insight into the organization’s plans and operating budgets
- Conduct skills analysis for finance and accounting team and aims to improve upon processes
- Implement policies, procedures and processes as deemed appropriate by business executive leadership
- Serve as a key point of contact for external auditors; manage preparation and support of all external audits
- Ensure timeliness and accuracy of financial and management reporting data for all third party requests such as banks, tax firms and auditors
The ideal candidate will have 10-15 years of total experience with at least 3 years of recent Controller to CFO-level experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods or similar industry. Other skills and qualifications include:
- Master’s degree in accounting, finance or related
- CPA or CMA license
- 3+ years of experience as a CFO, VP of Finance or Senior Controller
- Recent experience in a Cost Accounting environment
- Ability to work closely with ownership and execute upon ownership's vision for the company
