Cook - Full-Time All Shifts Job at Little Huskies Daycare Center & Preschool
We are seeking a cook for our fun and vibrant childcare center in Jackson, MN! Our center serves Jackson County and we currently have 65 children and 18 staff. We are a very friendly environment willing to provide training on the job!
Looking for a cook who will be our licensed food handler and maintain license. Responsibilities for cook:
- Prepare a nutrition breakfast, lunch, and snack according to the established menu.
- Plan menu and request appropriate quantities of food.
- Keep records of menus, recipes, cost per meal, and quanities required to meet daily requirements.
- Keep posted records of each child's allergies and consider them in meal planning.
- Read all labels to assure all foods are safe for children with food allergies. If not safe, an alternate food is prepared and labeled for child with first and last name.
- Communicate with staff when to notify parents of needed supplies to meet nutritional requirements.
- Check refrigerator and freezer temperatures daily.
- Wash and sterilize all dishes and utensils according to proper sanititation procedures.
- Keep kitchen area clean and in compliance with the MN Department of Health.
- Successfully complete all other relevent responsibilities for the position.
- Complete required trainings to maintain the position.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $12.00 - $16.00 per hour
