AMDEX Corporation is seeking a Database Engineer (Collibra) to join its team supporting our contract with the Federal government.
Position Objective: facilitate the customer’s mission fulfillment through data management support, i.e. continuously improving the degree to which data is visible, understandable, consistent, complete, and interoperable.
Required Skills and Relevant Experience
- Expert knowledge in the design of transactional and dimensional data stores, as well as and data integration (ETL processes)
- Expert knowledge in the creation of physical, conceptual and logical data models at both the system and enterprise level, using tools such as Erwin
- Expert knowledge in design of Service-Oriented Architecture at the enterprise-level
- Expert knowledge of the IT systems development life cycle and extensive practical experience in developing and maintaining software
- Strong writing and presentation skills
- Experience in implementing and supporting data governance tools such as Collibra Data Governance Center
- Experience in designing and enhancing Collibra Workflows, Groovy/Java, BPMN
Required Qualifications:
- 9+ years of relevant experience
- 2+ years' experience in configuring and supporting Collibra or other Metadata / Data Governance tool (s)
Preference will be given to applicants with the following desired qualifications:
- Experience in design of Big Data Environments which utilize technologies such as distributed processing, graph databases, AI, etc.
- Experience in the creation of IT data exchanges that adhere to National Information Exchange Model (NIEM)-based data structures and architectures, as well as experience in the creation of NIEM Domains.
- Experience in implementing a formal data quality improvement program, including data profiling, monitoring, and reporting
- Experience in implementing automated testing.
- Experience in implementing DevOps or DevSecOps
Minimum Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related academic focus area
