GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Saint Paul Parish is seeking a part-time Director or Coordinator of Religious Education (16-18 hours/week) to administer our small PREP for levels 1 through 7. Successful candidate would also be responsible for the recruitment and formation of catechists and sacramental preparations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Directs the Parish Religious Education Program (PREP).
Recruits, trains and supervises the program's catechists.
Meets with parents, catechists and volunteers, as needed.
Administers annual registration, including the fee collection.
Maintains records as required by the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.
Collaborates with other parish staff members to accomplish program; s goals.
Works with Pastor to coordinate sacramental preparation for First Reconciliation, First Eucharist and Confirmation.
REQUIREMENTS:
Practicing Catholic in good standing.
A degree in Theology or a related field and knowledge obtained through parish experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
