Director of Religious Education Job at St. Thomas a Becket Parish
The DRE is responsible for the faith formation of children, youth, young adults, and adults. Creative approaches will be developed for each age group to best catechize and provide spiritual enrichment throughout all parish ministries. The DRE will support and work with volunteers including those who are involved with OCIA, OCIC, and Baptism Preparation. The DRE would also be the Liaison to the Diocesan Office of Child Protection.
Applicants should be a Catholic in good standing and able to work 40 hours a week including some nights and weekends. Benefits including vacation, sick leave and holidays are earned according to Diocesan Policy. A Master's degree in Theology, Education, or Youth Ministry is preferred, however a Bachelor's degree is acceptable. Leadership, organization and planning should be strong talents.
