CONSTRUCTION ESTIMATOR/PROJECT MANAGER

Nickolas Savko & Sons, Inc., an industry leader for over 77 years, based in Columbus, Ohio, is seeking an exceptional individual to join our Estimating and Project Management Department.

We are known for our extraordinary ability, knowledge and expertise in Underground Utilities and Mass Earthwork/Grading, Concrete Curb & Gutter and our internationally recognized Roller Compacted Concrete Paving .

Specific Duties

Work in a team environment with our Estimating & Project Management Staff, to prepare estimates, present quotes, speak regularly with our clients and our field managers. Always strive to full-fill our clients project goals.

We encourage this team to "Always think outside the box". To be creative and resourceful to obtain competitive marks and provide value engineering to our clients and consultants whenever possible and try to identify potential risk and deliver ideas to navigate safely through these potential risk situations.

Knowledge and efficiency with computers.

You are encouraged to ask questions and bounce ideas off other people within our Company.

Attend Pre-Bid meetings and visit our project sites.

Interpret geotechnical reports and recognize difficult sub-ground and soil conditions.

*AGTEK TAKEOFFS & CAD EXPERIENCE IS HIGHLY DESIRABLE*

Recognizing the key factors in our industry is equipment, staff and materials. Understanding of heavy equipment: Excavators, Bulldozers, Loaders, Compactors and Articulated Trucks is extremely beneficial.
