Department Overview
The Electric Safety and Quality Management department provides safety and quality oversight for Electric Power Generation, Transmission, Substation and Distribution. The Safety Program Management Office (PMO) partners with the Enterprise Health and Safety (EH&S) team to provide strategic guidance to improve our safety culture and performance. The Quality program implements an integrated strategic audit approach concentrating on key company focus areas that are a function of risk, regulatory impacts, compliance maturity model attributes, key regulatory issues, and line of business requests.
Position Summary
Responsible for supervision of the audit and assessment program management. Ensures that systems and processes meet regulatory requirements as well as excellence standards.
Identify and implement opportunities to improve company performance (quality, performance, human factors, financial, regulatory).
Provides quality consulting to internal clients by evaluating and reviewing processes to ensure reliability improvement is embedded into the processes, and to share best practices.
Coaches, develops and leads the team members to achieve the department goals and the individual's development objectives.
Track audit findings and the resultant corrective action plans by working with teams from the appropriate line of business to define corrective actions, to verify the completion of the corrective actions, and to validate the effectiveness of those corrective action
PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although, we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.
A reasonable salary range is:
Annual Minimum: $136,000.00
Annual Maximum: $232,000.00
Qualifications
Minimum:
High School Diploma or GED
Five (5) years of experience in auditing or quality assurance
Two (2) years supervisory or project/team lead experience
Travel is 40% with occasional overnight stays.
ASQ Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) or equivalent or ability to become certified within 1 year. CQA Certification requires eight years of higher education and/or work experience, and at least 3 years of work experience in a decision-making position.
Desired:
Bachelors Degree in Engineering or job-related discipline or equivalent experience
Experience in process engineering
PMI-Project Management Institute PMP-Project Management Professional certification
PE-Professional Engineer license
ASQ-American Society for Quality CQE-Certified Quality Engineer Certification
LSS-Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification
