The Product Group Manager will be responsible for managing Product Managers, our Trade Show Coordinator and Product Support group.
Professional Background
- Installing, maintaining & repairing electrical wiring, equipment & fixtures including exterior lights on building, intercom systems and HVAC and building controls systems.
- Planning & coordinating the work of the external contractors assigned to a project
- Ensures that work is in accordance with relevant codes.
- Progress reporting to Facility Maintenance Lead Technician
- Ensures that work/project activities comply with OSHA safety standards.
- Expected to keep up-to-date technically through onsite and offsite training opportunities and to apply new knowledge on the job.
- Works the on-call phone 24/7 two weeks out of every six weeks
- Keeps Facility Maintenance Manager and Lead Technician abreast of any urgent on-call issues as they arise
- Expected to be on-site at their scheduled work times.
- Comply with required reporting off guidelines as described in “Employee Manual”.
- Expected to be available during inclement weather events to prepare & make facility safe for the arrival of workforce prior to their scheduled starting time – use of VTO or time comp is not permitted when working during these events.
- Works the Admin Office schedule with flexibility to work whenever needed.
Requirements
- HS diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant facility maintenance experience in an Industrial/Manufacturing environment is required.
- The use of equipment, tools and mechanical devices.
- General building and construction knowledge of materials, methods and the use of appropriate tools for facility maintenance related work.
- Intermediate technical math skills in algebra & geometry.
- Knowledge of federal & state laws & regulations concerning National Electric Code & OSHA standards. training classes provided.
- Effective oral & written communication skills
- Ability to read schematics & use splicing tools, soldering equipment, voltmeters, ammeters, ohmmeters, hand/power tools & measuring devices
- Ability to use computers, programs & applications including Outlook, word & excel as needed for reporting & communicating
- Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and to correct the problem.
- Inspect electrical systems, equipment and components to identify hazards, defects and the need for adjustment or repair & to ensure compliance with codes.
- Install or replace meters, regulators, or related measuring or control devices.
- This position is mainly electrical, electronic and controls related but some mechanical and plumbing related work is required in this position, especially during on-call intervals or assisting other team members when the job requires two people.
