Apply today!In this position you will perform standard bookkeeping duties in recording, reviewing, and processing financial records and documents. This work involves maintaining bookkeeping records including posting and support preparation; classifying accounting documents prior to posting. This work may also involve typing, the use of standard office equipment, and the performance of related clerical tasks. Work methods are governed in detail by established account classifications and procedures. Difficult technical problems and irregularities are referred to a supervisor who observes work in progress and periodically reviews records.
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment.
- Work hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Two years of experience performing bookkeeping or clerical accounting work; or
- An associate degree in accounting or business administration including or supplemented by 6 credits in accounting; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

- Hiring preference for this vacancy will be given to candidates who live within Wayne, Pike, Monroe, Lackawanna, and Susquehanna counties. If no eligible candidates who live in Wayne, Pike, Monroe, Lackawanna, or Susquehanna counties apply for this position, candidates who reside in other counties may be considered.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
- Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
You must pass a background investigation.
A conditional offer of employment will require a drug screening.
