Floral and Plant Associate Job at Primrose Chicago
We are a flower and plant shop located in the heart of Chicago's Southport corridor looking for a sales associate to help us grow. The position could be part or full time, depending on fit. We are making many changes to the store and are expanding our product offerings, so this is an exciting time to join!
Job description:
- Work with customers on price and type of flower arrangements and date, time and place of delivery
- Creating high quality designs of flowers and plants for all occasions
- Learning about the care requirements of different houseplants and providing advice to customers
- Entering and processing orders on our florist POS system
- Providing customer service to walk ins, phone orders and website orders
- Performing general open and close procedures
- Contributing ideas on general shop design and branding
Job requirements:
- Floral design experience or other artistic or design background strongly preferred
- Prior retail experience
- Works well in a team environment with constructive feedback
- Outgoing and friendly personality
- Able to climb a ladder and lift 45 lbs
- Ability to work weekends and holidays
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
