Although we are open to employees working remotely, for this role we have a preference of the incumbent living in proximity to our Seattle office allowing for a hybrid schedule with some days working in the office.

What the job is: As the Forest Carbon Analyst, you will work on the nuts and bolts of monitoring existing forest carbon projects, developing new forest carbon projects, and helping to evaluate potential projects. This role is both an internal and external facing position which will require frequent interaction with other employees and management, contract service providers, and other outside parties. This role is expected to establish and cultivate an external network of forest carbon contacts.
Here are some examples of the daily work associated with the job:
- Maintain a calendarized list of forest carbon project activities and use this list to prioritize workflow as appropriate.
- Assist in design and implementation of forest carbon inventories, conduct growth and yield analyses, calculate forest carbon metrics, and conduct or review forest planning models.
- Complete and process monitoring reports for existing forest carbon projects.
- Assist in developing and improving analytical tools related to forest carbon work in order to improve our efficiency.
- Stay abreast of the changing protocols and opportunities in the forest carbon space.
- Establish a robust and effective relationship with the staff in each operating unit to foster efficiency and good communication.
- Work closely with Division staff to coordinate monitoring, development, and evaluation workflows.
Compensation:
Annual Salary Range: $76,100 - $114,100 per year. The pay range listed is just one component of Green Diamond’s total compensation package. Other rewards include eligibility to receive a company-wide annual financial performance bonus, and the opportunity to receive an individual performance-based bonus, candidate referral bonuses, and spot bonuses.
