Front Desk Receptionist Job at Oakmonte Village of Davie
SHIFT : PART TIME 3:30 PM - 9:00 PM, Weekend availability, occasional morning shift coverage from 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
PAY RATE: Starting Rate $12.00-14.00 based on experience
SUMMARY
This is a hostess/host position responsible for fielding resident requests and inquiries in a catered living environment similar to a five-star hotel.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Assesses needs of residents and promptly refers to appropriate staff.
Operate telephone system and directs calls to the appropriate individual or department after determining the nature of the call.
Record caller’s name, time of call and nature of business when intended party is unavailable.
Monitor emergency call system and ensure immediate response by staff.
Greet visitors and assist in locating residents
Receive suggestions/complaints/maintenance requests from residents and guests and direct to appropriate manager.
Maintain current resident list.
Record special meal requests and route to kitchen in a timely manner
Monitor exterior and interior lighting system and lobby area for ambiance.
Monitor lobby, café, library and theater for resident assistance.
Call residents who are late for meals.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
Create an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest, and positive emphasis. Empathetic to needs of older adults. Maintain resident confidentiality, treat residents with kindness, dignity and respect, and know and comply with Resident’s Rights/Rules. Maintain a dependable attendance record and adhere to standards of cleanliness, grooming, hygiene, and facility dress code.
