We are seeking a warm, happy, intelligent Medical Receptionist who has at least 1 year of experience to join our family-run dermatology practice. We are searching for highly capable and compassionate individuals who work well with people and understand that this is a high-end service industry where "the customer is always right". Must be able to treat all people with kindness and respect, smile when you welcome patients, have patience and the ability to de-escalate a situation where a patient might be stressed or upset. Must have great communication skills as well as the ability to use and learn our EMR/scheduling system. You will join an experienced, hardworking team dedicated to providing the highest quality patient care and service. You will be assisting with patient check-in, patient check out, and insurance verification.

Your primary duties include:

  • Answer high call volume phones
  • Check patients in and verify patient information
  • Approve/Deny online appointment requests
  • Scan documents into patient charts
  • Check incoming faxes
  • Check patients out and Collect charges as determined by insurance company (i.e., co-pay, co-insurance, payment in full)
  • Schedule next appointment and give patient appointment reminder.

Your Education: High school diploma, College degree preferred

Qualifications:

One year experience, preferred

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
