Job summary: Senior level sales job without management responsibilities. Solicits the most complex accounts and is consultative in nature. Direct selling to include both Corporate, Association and SMERF clientele.

Working Environment:

  • Exterior of hotel with exposure to weather conditions
  • Interior of hotel, in normal office conditions
  • Remote/Hybrid in the Austin, TX or Houston, TX areas

Shift requirements: Monday- Friday 8:30am-5:30pm with occasional nights and weekends based on business booked.

Tools and Equipment:

  • Computer and printer, typewriter, telephone, pen/pencil, photo-copying machine, folders, filing cabinet, facsimile machine

Responsibilities

  • Develops new leads and research for new business 80% of the time to meet and/or exceed revenue goals in rooms, food and beverage and resource revenue.
  • 3+ years of experience and has expert knowledge of the business, competitive landscape and the local market.
  • Able to identify trends in the market and apply this knowledge to maximize sales.
  • Proactive in developing new business for the hotel. Maintains strong customer relationships.
  • Anticipates and understands customer needs to provide solutions.
  • Uses a high degree of judgment and discretion to persuade customers and ensure satisfaction.
  • Manages customer expectations and resolves issues.
  • Any other additional tasks assigned by Director of Sales & Marketing.
