Founded in 1948 by John Pridgeon and Donald Clay, we are one of the largest independent, value-added manufacturers and suppliers of automotive stamped and fine-blanked components in the United States.
As a HiLo Operator you will review suspected non-conforming parts to assure shipment of quality certified products, as well as maintain the flow of unprocessed product to the work area and remove the processed components and scrap from the work area . Key responsibilities include:
- Maintain flow of unprocessed product to work area.
- Remove processed components and scrap material from the work area to the appropriate area.
- Maintain appropriate activity level, supplying production lines with components and materials at a speed that enhances production.
- Complete hi-lo/forklift routers and preventive hi-lo maintenance checklists.
- Change hi-lo/forklift batteries and perform necessary preventative maintenance checks to batteries as required.
- Replace propane tanks on hi-lo/forklift(s) when necessary.
- Set up the Hold Area with the appropriate containers and rework parts, when needed.
- Transfer finished and reworked parts to the appropriate shipping dock in a timely manner.
- Report to Production Manager or Technician any damage to equipment/facilities that may have occurred while operating hi-lo/forklift
Qualified candidates will possess the following:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Six months experience driving a hi-lo for a production department, or one year of experience operating a hi-lo within a shipping - receiving department (experience with stand-up hi-lo desired)
- P&C hi-lo license, or the ability to pass both written and practical tests to obtain one
- Computer literacy
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment
- Excellent work record (e.g., limited employee warnings), including attendance
- Highly motivated
- Must not wear tinted safety glasses, or have a need for tinted safety glasses
- Must not have a pace-maker
