We are currently seeking a
Recreation and Pool Attendant to round out our outstanding team professionals at our beautiful Holiday Inn North Beach.
What You Will Bring To This Role:
Coordinates, promotes, implements recreation and leisure activities for children in Splash Kamp our day camp for kids. Coordinates daily programs and plans, organizes and instructs games, activities and events, including special events, competitions, and group activities. Monitors pool activities, maintain inventory, and oversees activity in the common areas.
Some of Your Responsibilities Would Be:
- Promote a fun and relaxing atmosphere for guests.
- Clean and maintain recreational equipment and supplies.
- Ensure swimming pools and the recreation area is clean at all times and report any maintenance issues to the engineering department.
- Ensure the pool deck is swept and watered down and that all furniture is in the correct place, when setting up in the morning and evening.
- Engage & maintain a professional and playful manner with children in Splash Kamp & other areas of hotel.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Must have good understanding of the English language.
2. Experience in customer service, preferably with children.
3. Must be available to work days, nights , weekends and holidays.
Physical Demands
- Exert physical effort in lifting/transporting at least 50 pounds.
- Endure various physical movements throughout the work areas; including bending and twisting to perform job functions.
- Must be able to reach above head and shoulder height to perform job functions.
- Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 8-hours in length.
- Communicate with guests, management and co-workers to their understanding.
- Work environment – Splash Camp area, theater, gym, all public hotel space including front entrance, lobby areas, public restrooms, elevators, pool areas and service areas. Job involves working under variable temperature conditions and noise levels, in indoor settings.
