RHP Properties (www.rhp.com) is a growing, privately-held national property management company. Headquartered in Farmington Hills, MI we own and operate over 360 manufactured home communities in 30 states.

We are presently seeking a Home Renovation Technician for our Colonial Acres community located in Kalamazoo, MI, who will perform renovation and remodeling of community owned homes.

As a successful Home Renovation Technician, you will:

• Assess with the Project Manager needed repairs, supplies and improvements.
• Prioritize and manage home refurbishment and repairs to meet deadlines.
• Develop and maintain a professional working relationship with each Community Manager and maintenance team.
• Perform regular inventories to maintain adequate construction equipment and supplies. Notify Project Manager of needed supplies.
• Prepare refurbishment that includes and not limited to rough and finish carpentry, painting, mechanical, plumbing, flooring, roofing, electrical.
• In conjunction with the Project Manager, determine what work will be subcontracted.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Maintain and provide invoices to Project Manager on a daily basis.
• Maintain and manage all inventory and make certain it is secure.
• Travel to other local properties to refurbish homes as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

• A minimum of 1- home renovation and/or residential construction experience, preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Valid operator’s license, maintenance of a good driving record at all times, and insurability under the Company’s policy at all times.
• Have reliable transportation
• Minimum 2 years professional experience with plumbing, electrical, appliance repairs, HVAC, and carpentry.
• May need to provide own tools.
• Ability to bend, stretch, twist, walk continuously, and access confined or high spaces.
• Ability to operate power tools and other equipment.
• Ability to lift or to move up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to efficiently perform job responsibilities with minimal supervision.
• Ability to tolerate exposure to various chemical compounds.
