Jacobs Entertainment is currently in search of a “Special Events Security Officer-Seasonal” for the All-New J Resort. The J Resort is a full-service hotel-casino with over 300 rooms and wide variety of Slots and Table Games. Essential Job Responsibilities and Duties:
- Event Security work hours will be dependent on the hours of the special event
- Responsible for patrolling assigned event area to ensure safety and protection of guests, employees, tenants and company property
- Enforce company policies at the entrance to the venue for prohibited items being brought in
- Enforce any age restriction requirements at the entrance, depending on the venue
- Communicate and document infractions with security management
- Monitor event area for overall safety and report irregularities such as fire hazards, unlocked doors, gates or access areas
- During serious emergencies may be assigned to assist in the evacuation of persons in attendance
- Provide direction, guest services, first aid, assistance with lost and found or any other request of attendees.
Skills, Education and Other Requirements
- High School Diploma and/or Equivalent Work Experience.
- CPR, First Aid and AED certifications preferred
- Ability to obtain Nevada Gaming registration card
- Obtain Alcohol Awareness card
- Identification that establishes identity
- Identification that establishes the right to work in the United States
