Job Description:This position will be responsible for ensuring proper cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen, dishes, pots/pans, utensils and glassware. The Steward will assist in teaching, training and monitoring to ensure all KU team members are performing duties up to standard. The Kitchen Steward Working Lead will be responsible for organizing and managing the inventory of kitchen supplies and equipment. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, be detail-oriented, and have a passion for the kitchen and culinary arts.

Responsibilities:
- Stock shelves and organize inventory in the storeroom
- Maintain accurate records of inventory levels
- Place orders for new supplies and equipment as needed
- Ensure storeroom is kept clean and organized. Provide assistance to coworkers
- with kitchen supplies inquiries
- Receive and inspect incoming orders of kitchen supplies and equipment.
- Must have the ability to monitor productivity of KU team throughout the day.
- Display initiative to seek out cleaning and organizational tasks that will benefit the operation.
- Clean and sanitize all cooking utensils, dishware, pots/pans, and work areas.
- Clean and organize back dock including drains and surrounding areas to be free of debris, oil / grease.
- Clean and sanitize work areas including the pot/pan sink.
- Sweep and mop kitchen floors, break room areas, floors, employee restrooms, walls and shelves including walk-ins.
- Take out trash, boxes and clean trash receptacles.
- Restock dishes, paper towels, trash liners and miscellaneous stock items as needed.
- Complete opening shift side duties.
- Wear required personal protective equipment while performing tasks.
- Adhere to all safety risk management and environmental policies while performing tasks.
- Assist in keeping ServSafe and NPS Food Code sanitation levels.
- Monitor expiration dates and rotate stock as appropriate
- Other duties as assigned.
- Ability to physically stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to work around high temperatures, cleaning detergents and chemicals.
- Must be available to work evening shifts, weekends, and holidays.
