Lake Champlain Chocolates Maintenance Technician Job at Lake Champlain Chocolates
Our Maintenance team is seeking a skilled, hard-working, and enthusiastic self-starter who is looking to further develop a maintenance/mechanical career in food manufacturing. In this role you will provide preventive maintenance; identify and trouble-shoot mechanical and electrical issues; repair and maintain equipment; maintain spare parts inventory; and prepare mechanical maintenance reports using CMMS software program. Reliable transportation is needed for local travel.
Skills, Abilities & Experience Needed:
- Formal or informal technical training and 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing facility and proficiency in at least two of the following areas: welding, fabrication, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, and basic carpentry.
- Capability of lifting up to 50 lbs on a regular basis, standing for long periods of time, and climbing ladders.
- Ability to read technical instructions, perform basic math, and demonstrate basic computer skills.
- To be successful in this role, you are: reliable, curious, willing to learning new things, trustworthy, detail-oriented, respectful, quality-focused, flexible, cooperative, and work well on a team as well as independently.
