United Locating Services has an immediate opening for an experienced ASE Certified Automotive Technician to assist in fleet service needs.

Responsibilities:

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

• Capable of diagnosing and repairing different types of vehicles
• Test parts and systems to ensure that they are working properly
• Identify mechanical problems, often by using computerized diagnostic equipment
• Follow checklists to ensure that all critical parts are examined
• Test and lubricate the vehicle’s engine and other major components
• Repair or replace worn parts, such as brake pads and wheel bearings
• Use testing equipment to ensure that repairs and maintenance are effective
• Examine vehicle and discuss with the manager the nature and extent of any damage or malfunction. Provide recommendations for repair, parts list needed to perform recommended repairs and hours required to perform the repairs using industry standard labor guides. Provide a list of all items needing attention, whether maintenance, safety or other.

Qualifications:

• Must have a valid driver's license
• Ability to pass drug screening test
• Windows-based general computer skills
• Previous automotive repair experience
• Must have the required tools to perform major service repairs
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• ASE Certification

Pay: based on evaluation

Subject to pre-employment background check and drug screen as well as random drug screens.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 12 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• On call
• Weekend availability
