Overview

The Letter of Credit Trade Specialist will issue, advise, amend, and/or examine various types of letters of credit. These include but are not limited to Standby Letters of Credit, Commercial Letters of Credit for Import and Export, and Documentary Collections

Responsibilities

• Examine documents presented for payment under Letters of Credit and determine compliance with letter of credit documentation.
• Prepare and review documents relating to issuing and amending letters of credit.
• Manage auto-renewal ticklers for Letters of Credit.
• Administer International Banking Vendor Management.
• Manage correspondence with foreign banks through SWIFT account and maintain Relationship Management Application (RMA).
• Prepare invoices and process international fee payments.
• Perform general ledger account reconciliations for international fee income.
• Perform quality control reviews of completed work.
• Process system maintenance and review quality control reports.
• Interact with internal and external clients while providing extraordinary service.
• Develop and maintain trusted, positive relationships with employees, clients, and vendors.
• Represent the Bank and Loan Services team in a highly professional manner.
• Complete job assignments in a professional, timely, and efficient manner; organize and prioritize work.
• Maintain confidentiality; adhere to CrossFirst Bank policies and procedures; comply with laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
• Reliable and predictable attendance.

Qualifications

• 3 or more years of Trade Service experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of International Trade Finance rules such as ISP98 and UCP600.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize workflow and projects; thrive in a team-based environment.
• Demonstrated success in a multi-task environment with attention to detail and follow through.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience with office automation equipment, including phones, computers, scanners, and related loan processing/banking software, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• College degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and/or work experience.
