Loss Mitigation Specialist

Southfield, MI (Remote)

Are you a problem-solver who would love to help keep our borrowers in their homes? In the Loss Mitigation Specialist role,

You'll be:

• Communicating and educating members on possible hardship solutions.
• Determining appropriate workouts based on the financial review within investors’ and mortgage insurance companies’ guidelines
• Performing post-closings, including recording loan modifications, obtaining and recording subordination agreements, resolving title issues, if necessary, etc.
• Filing claims with various investors.

You'll have the opportunity to:

• Mitigate potential foreclosure losses through effective negotiation and workout plans.
• Directly impact members by helping them stay in their homes.
• Work with other team members to prevent and reduce delinquency.

You'll have:

• At least two years in the mortgage industry with at least one year in Loss Mitigation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate professionally with internal and external customers.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Excellent follow up skills and attention to detail to ensure entire process is thoroughly completed.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, highly regulated, and deadline-driven environment.
