Machine Production Assistant Job Description:
The employee is responsible for machine set-up and operation including, but not limited to: set-up, tear down, repair, maintenance, monitoring and troubleshooting.
Machine Production Assistant Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Converting Machine Set-up – Operation, installation and removal of tools, blades, hole punchers, and rolls of material
- Converting Machine Computer Operation – Setting pre-defined machine parameters such as temperature, dwell, and pressure
- Trouble Shooting Machine Problems – responding to alarms, analyzing problems, and making the necessary corrections
- Preventive Maintenance – Daily cleaning and routine maintenance to ensure the machine is properly functioning
- Use of Travelers and Shop Floor System – Required use of job travelers and computer-based shop floor systems
- Read Drawings and Specifications – Plans machine set-ups by reviewing and interpreting specifications, drawings, machine parameters, locations of notches; interpreting dimensions and tolerances
- Training – Required to assist, train, and/or mentor new hires and less experienced Production Assistants.
- Safety – Required to maintain an organized, clean and safe work area while adhering to all quality practices, standard operating procedures and work instructions
- Works with QC to perform First Article Inspections; to identify and correct in-process issues as they arise
- Performs other duties, as directed The Production Assistant will report to the Production Manager and/or Production Supervisor.
Machine Production Assistant Pay/ Shift
- 1st shift Thursday 4:15 am - 2:45 pm / Friday to Sunday 5 am - 3:30 pm. Will get trained from Monday to Thursday
- Pay $18/h to $23/h Depends on Experience
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
