In this newly created leadership role, you will have accountability for the Clinical and Administrative consulting organizations within Advisory and Implementations, which totals $220M+ in annual revenue. You will be expected to develop and deliver solution offerings and recruit, mentor and lead a high-performing team to ensure achievement of performance expectations.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Help to define, maintain and clearly communicate the pillar vision & strategy, design and develop key solution offerings & associated go-to-market plans to execute against the vision
- Maintain market and competitive awareness to inform strategy, offerings, value propositions and key differentiators
- Drive targets and MBOs including sales, revenue, margin, utilization and Net Promoter Score (NPS)
- Collaborate with Optum Insight leadership to coordinate strategy, focus and execution of long-range plan
- Articulate market-relevant thought leadership agenda that establishes market credibility & elevates cSuite relationships
- New business development efforts inclusive of sales to new clients; sales to existing clients; sales of other Optum Advisory services and capabilities to new or existing clients
- Participate, guide and support RFI, RFP and sales processes and guide financial analysis for proposed solutions
- Accountable for overall Advisory Services Management Consulting engagement execution including quality of output; client satisfaction and profitability
- Provide executive oversight of project economics and direct teams to follow practices needed to ensure both quality and profitability
- Lead development of intellectual capital and thought leadership collateral
- Provide coaching and mentoring to develop and retain talent
- Encourage team members to publish and speak with clients on case studies or market relevant topics
- Serve as principal point of relationship and escalation for client executives
- Serve in an advisory role to clients on business strategy, operational effectiveness and healthcare best practices
- Drive exceptional Employee Experience and Manager Effectiveness results

Required Qualifications:
- 15 + years of healthcare consulting experience
- Consulting firm experience including accountability for engagement leadership, client relationship management and business development
- Demonstrated experience in collaborative selling to healthcare clients
- Track record of success building long term relationships across the cSuite with healthcare clients
- Proven ability to drill down to the root cause of issues and be creative in problem solving
- Demonstrated ability to provide valuable insights and logical explanations when faced with difficult questions
- Proven track record of success leading a team and coaching/mentoring future leaders
- Proven ability to bring out the best in people and teams in support of a shared vision
- Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time on a sustained basis
Preferred Qualifications:
- Graduate level degree in business or healthcare
- Experience managing a $200M + consulting practice with a track-record of growth and profitability
- Experience developing value propositions for consulting service offerings
- Proven track record of leading a portion of or all of a consulting P&L

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
