American Vision Partners (AVP) is looking for a high energy, high impact Manager, People Services who loves people and has a passion for supporting the growth and success of the business and our people. Reporting directly to the Director, People Services, this position is focused on making the company a better place for employees. The ideal candidate will have HR leadership experience along with expertise in people management, employee relations, strategic talent practices and employee experience.

Responsibilities:- Oversee the employee relations function for all AVP practices, including direct supervision of the HR generalist.
- Implement a scalable People Relations model to support all AVP geographies, which currently include the Southwest (AZ, CA, NM, NV, TX).
- Ensure compliant workplace policies and practices with a redesigned employee handbook that is comprehensively concise and practical to support all AVP practice locations.
- Develop and implement strategic talent practices (goal management, performance development, future leader readiness, employee engagement & voice, rewards & recognition) that support employee growth and retention.
- Address employee relations issues fairly and timely, including conducting investigations and maintaining appropriate documentation.
- Ensure labor law compliance, including labor law poster management and providing education to organizational leaders on labor law requirements.
- Partner closely with the Director of People Services and the recruiting, onboarding and leadership development functional leaders to create a cohesive employee experience to attract, hire, engage, grow and retain exceptional talent in a competitive market.
- Drive company-wide employee voice initiatives that seek input from our people to help improve employee satisfaction, retention and productivity and enhance the AVP employee experience and employment brand.
- Build positive relationships with employees and serve as a trusted partner to the field (clinics and surgery centers) and administrative leaders across the organization.
- Bachelor's degree in HR, business or other applicable field
- PHR, SPHR or other HR-related certifications appreciated
- 3+ years of HR leadership experience with direct people management
- Expertise in employee relations, policies & procedures, and strategic talent practices
- Strong knowledge of DOL and labor law compliance (FLSA, OSHA, FMLA, etc.)
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Phenomenal attitude and heart for people
- Ability to travel up to 25% and be a regular presence among AVP offices
