Position Summary

This position is responsible for reviewing data, financial reports, market data, marketing tactics, workflows and processes, and other information sources to analyze and identify advertising costs, exposing consumer behaviors, and exploring market opportunities. This includes statistical analysis of various data sources to support marketing projects, tests, pilot programs, marketing KPI tracking and goal-setting, and other functional support. Responsibilities will also include dynamic data visualization, financial and success metric planning, supporting ROI analysis, resource planning and budgeting, and strategic recommendations for future business model analyses. This role will work tightly with Finance, Business Intelligence, Product, and Enterprise Data teams, collaborating and designing breakthrough and innovative analysis strategies for the advancement of the customer experience and our Operations team.

Job Responsibility

  • Collaborate with marketing stakeholders to understand key goals, OKRs & KPIs
  • Collect and identify information from internal and external datasets to help develop analysis relevant to our customer, acquisition and retention goals
  • Ability to evaluate and create hypotheses from data collected to describe trends, reasons for occurrence and help predict future outcomes
  • Analyze marketing tactic traffic patterns and performance data to identify trends, areas for optimization
  • Own the design, development, monitoring and maintenance of ongoing KPI metrics, reporting, visualizations, and dashboards to drive key business decisions
  • Make recommendations for new metrics, techniques, based on research to drive growth, branding acquisition and retention efforts
  • Monitor competitor marketing activities, apply consumer insights gained through audience research to inform and guide analytics insights

  • Engage in periodic cross functional sessions to share insights, make business recommendations, and provide feedback on current tactics related to analysis conducted incorporating best practices in data storytelling
  • Provide ROI financials and regular updates for programs assigned.
  • Support financial planning and budgeting process, translating financial goals into success metrics and planned targets
  • Research data quality and potential issues with marketing data, along with or as the data steward for various marketing metrics as needed. Partner with data quality engineers and data governance team to implement appropriate solutions as needed. Report back to data trustee on potential findings requiring escalation
  • Assist marketing function in maintaining CRM’s audience management and data quality
  • Work closely with Finance, Business Intelligence, Product, Collections, Customer Experience and Credit Risk to monitor key marketing areas of focus
  • Other work as assigned

Education Required

Bachelor’s Degree or higher education in the fields of study of Mathematics, Statistics and Statistical Analysis, Marketing, Economics, Finance, or Accounting.

Experience Required

3+ years’ experience in the financial lending or financial technology sectors, banking, and/or related industries preferred.

Knowledge Required

Excellent written and verbal communications skills; adaptability and flexibility to changing environment; and comfortable working in a dynamic, high volume, fast-paced environment. Ability to understand and ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and laws governing our industry/business and products. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft 365 suite of products (excel expert), including PowerBI. Can collaborate via various means through email, chat, and voice efficiently and effectively while managing priorities and time appropriately. Can speak to technical and non-technical team members seamlessly. Knowledge of popular testing methodologies and types of analyses used in marketing measurement – test vs. control analysis, A/B, Multivariate, Break-even analysis, regression, cluster analysis, etc.

AWS PostgreSQL, working knowledge of capabilities of industry tools for dashboarding such as Tableau or other data visualization tool, experience with marketing tools such as Google Analytics, CRM platforms – HubSpot preferred and understanding of data warehouses or cloud-based data storage like Snowflake preferred.
