Marketing Specialist

Long Island, New York Location

Act as a key support function within marketing to help drive execution of FMI’s strategic marketing plan, source and nurture leads, and support cross-sell/upsell initiatives. Support in the planning and execution of social media initiatives. Create and publish content, and track metrics to a variety of platforms. Support in the development and implementation campaigns that drive brand awareness and boost traffic. Facilitate the use of HubSpot CRM and integration of the FMI Sales SOP to improve the efforts of the sales, marketing and customer service teams to help attract and retain new business.

Key Responsibilities

Supports building and executing social media strategy through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging, and audience identification.

Generates, edits, publishes, and shares daily content (original text, images, video, or HTML) that builds meaningful connections and encourages community members to take action.

Maintains and optimizes company pages within each social media platform to increase the visibility of the company’s social content.

Creates editorial calendars and syndication schedules.

Continuously improves by capturing and analyzing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights, and best practices, and then acting on the information.

Supports the development of email marketing campaigns, editorial calendars, and schedules.

Ensures layouts of emails are optimized, user and mobile friendly, and proofreads key messaging.

Compiles and purges email lists.

Tracks and analyzes campaign results.

Aids in additional digital marketing efforts.

Uses CRM tools to create audience segments to target relevant cohorts with appropriate messaging campaigns.

Helps create and execute customer engagement/acquisition strategies in line with the company’s marketing and financial objectives.

Leverages HubSpot data to develop and build lead generation protocols.

Utilizes Google Analytics to conduct regular post-campaign analysis.

Aids in customizing HubSpot Dashboards.

Collaborates with sales, product development, customer service, and operations teams to improve customer experience.

Performs additional duties as requested by management.

May be required to work overtime to meet business needs.

Requirements:

BS Degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field preferred. Understanding of traditional and digital marketing. Experience posting on social media platforms. Excellent analytical, verbal presentation, and writing skills. Extensive Knowledge of Adobe products and MS Office suite. Ability to learn and master new software, and to leverage technology to be effective and efficient. Well-organized and detail oriented.

Physical Requirements

While performing this job's duties, the employee must stand, walk, sit for long periods, speak, frequently hear to communicate on the phone with customers and other employees, and operate a computer.

Specific vision abilities required include close and distance vision, and ability to adjust focus. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., pack, ship, and setup trade show booth, product, etc., and travel, including international travel, as required, approximately 10% of the time.
