Job Description:
We have an opportunity for a Materials Cycle Counter to join our Manitowoc Ice team in Manitowoc, WI. Pentair recently acquired Manitowoc Ice - a global leader in commercial ice makers. This acquisition enhances our delivery of total water management offerings to an expanded network of channel partners and customers, further establishing Pentair as a global leader in a vast and growing industry. The Materials Cycle Counter is responsible for conducting physical inventory counts of product and works to resolve any variances between physical and actual counts. They will also troubleshoot possible receiving, transaction, Bill of Material, routing, or picking errors and research ways to eliminate the problems causing variances. Finally, ensures that our business system accuracy reflects on hand inventories so that order commitments and production lead times are known and communicate in a timely manner.
This position reports directly to the Manager of Inventory Control and will be based out of our facility in Manitowoc, WI.
You will:

Establish a systematic, documented approach to determine the root cause of the variance problem. Once determined, establish corrective actions to be taken and reviews with appropriate parties; following up to ensure that the actions become institutionalized.

Responsible for tracking and reporting daily warehouse inventory accuracy, weekly materials scorecard review, and monthly tracking of coverage.

Establish, with the support of Finance, and maintains the inventory structure/framework used to identify and control inventoried material. Create documents and maintains that framework.

Responsible for occasional physical inventory audits as needed.

Strives to establish and maintain a minimum inventory accuracy of 95% net by value.

Reviews daily the “Negative Issues” report and works from highest to lowest dollar variance order. Corrects any negative inventory items.

Notifies appropriate individual(s) of system information corrections needed. (i.e. Item Master, BOM’s, Routings, etc.).

Responsible for workplace organization (5S) daily.

Demonstrate Pentair’s “Win Right” culture when interacting with customers, co-workers and suppliers.
Key Qualifications:
-
High school diploma or GED required. Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.

1+ years manufacturing knowledge and experience required; inventory experience preferred.

Must have math aptitude and ability to grasp concepts of mathematical calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and fractions).

Computer proficiency to enter data, complete reports, communicate information, and retrieve data.

Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, and Word)
