We are a part of Sunflower Medical group, a private practice primary care group with five locations throughout the Kansas City area. We are located at 5675 Roe Blvd on the NE corner of Roe Ave and Johnson Drive. We have a full benefits package and a positive work environment. Job Description:
The MA or LPN assumes a wide range of clerical and clinical functions in a large primary care clinic. Under the supervision of the nursing manager and physician, the nurse provides direct patient care. The nurse serves as a key player in interacting and communicating with patients and clinical staff. Applicant must possess a positive attitude and work well in a team environment. Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Rooming patients, taking patient histories and patient vitals
- Administering vaccinations
- Coordinating pharmacy refills and lab results
- Returning patient phone calls
- Managing a high volume of patient visits
- Patient Education
- Skilled in venipuncture and fingersticks
- Ability to work independently
Job Requirements:
- Experienced MA or LPN with a minimum of 2 years of clinic experience
- Experience in Family Practice or Internal Medicine
- EMR (electronic medical record) experience required
