Medical Courier Driver Job at Crescent City Surgical Centre Diagnostics

Status: 1099 Contract
Schedule: Monday – Friday 4:00pm – 12:00am
Rate: $1,000/week, paid bi-weekly
Responsibilities:
Responsible for the timely and safe transportation of specimen from various medical facilities to the Crescent City Surgical Centre Diagnostics laboratory located in Metairie, LA (approximately 350 miles per day). Must be comfortable driving a personal, non-commercial vehicle throughout the shift on various roads and in varying weather conditions.
Requirements:
· Valid driver’s license with a minimum of 1 year of driving experience and a motor vehicle record with less than 3 moving violation convictions within the previous 36-month period. Must demonstrate safe and courteous driving behavior.
· A reliable vehicle with personal car insurance with $500,000 of liability insurance
· Must be familiar with and follow all Guidelines for the Transportation of Clinical Human Samples: https://safetyservices.ucdavis.edu/units/ehs/biological-safety/guides-forms-policies/transporting-clinical-human-samples#main-content
· Must have strong time management skills with the ability to arrive and deliver specimen in a timely, consistent fashion.
· Present professionally in appearance and behavior to clients when picking up specimen.
· Ability to work independently
· Prolonged standing/sitting/walking/driving
· Willing to consent to background and drug screening
· Experience in driving/delivering a plus
