Lafayette Pain Care is looking for a qualified Practice Manager to assist in creating and maintaining a culture of superior client and clinician service, treating all with empathy, kindness, and respect. Our Practice Managers provide key supervision for all clinic functions and serve as the central administrator of daily operations. We are looking for someone with the knowledge and skills to effectively communicate with physicians, staff, and patients, ensuring each patient has an exceptional patient experience.

This position will be based in Kokomo, IN with travel expected as needed between all of our Indiana clinics located in Lafayette, Logansport, Winamac, Williamsport, and Marion.

Job Responsibilities

  • Ensure smooth daily operations including managing daily staffing, providing guidance to all operational areas, and creating a workplace that fosters cooperation and collaboration
  • Provide a superior patient experience responding to needs with sensitivity and urgency should issues arise.
  • Lead the clinic staff to align with the company mission, values, and culture.
  • Build and develop the team including hiring, training and development, performance reviews, and feedback sessions.
  • Partner with various departments to ensure compliance with all applicable policies, procedures and laws, both internally and externally.
  • Oversee facility and procurement needs.
  • Meet and follow-up with referring physicians and engage in community activities to brand the company with appropriate audiences.

Required Skills and Knowledge

  • Exceptional written communication, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain a healthy and positive atmosphere for employees
  • Strong management and leadership skills, particularly mentoring, coaching, and conflict management
  • Knowledge of current medical terminology to communicate with physician, staff, and patients
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from employees, patients, and the general public
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and suggest logical and valid conclusions
  • Ability to logically troubleshoot, analyze situations, and make appropriate decisions within the scope and authority of the position
  • Ability to analyze and interpret complex data
  • Knowledge of regulatory and compliance best practices in the healthcare setting
  • Knowledge of health care environment, medical office policies and procedures, general accounting procedures, and human resource management practices
  • Excellent listening and follow-through abilities and a willingness to accept constructive criticism

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree is required – preferably in the fields of business administration, health management, accounting, or a related area of study
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in management or leadership in a health care setting
