Established Non-Emergency Medical Transportation company, operating throughout Southern California, seeking new and experienced EMTs for our Santa Fe Springs location.

Prior experience preferred but not required as F&B Medical Transport will provide on the job training.

Applicants must have a VALID and CLEAN California Driver's License.

Must be able to obtain an LADOT Permit. (F&B Medical Transport will pay for permit)

Non-Emergency EMT's starting pay is $18.50

24hr /10hr / 8hr shifts available.

All schedules given include working Saturdays as a mandatory requirement.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Transporting patients and clients utilizing company vehicles in a safe and professional manner.
• Safely moving, lifting and positioning patients with medical equipment (gurney, wheelchair, stair chair).
• Communicating effectively with dispatch regarding schedule and receiving instructions.
• Maintain a professional image and attitude in regards to patients, family members and co‐workers.
• Complete daily vehicle pre-shift and post-shift inspections, and maintain vehicle cleanliness.
• Assist clients/patients as needed to safely complete the transfer.
• Must understand instructions in English (both written and spoken).
• Must be able to understand and operate tablets, two-way radios, and medical transportation software.
• Perform all duties as assigned by dispatcher.
• Must be physically able to step up and down steps, safely secure clients for transport, lift up to 50 lbs, and transport wheelchair and gurney patients on paved and unpaved surfaces.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous experience preferred, but not required
• Must have possessed a valid California Driver’s license for at least 3 years
• Exceed minimum age requirement of 18 years.
• Pass a mandatory pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
• Must be able to get non-ambulatory driver permit.
• Must pass a mandatory criminal background test.

EDUCATION:

• High school diploma minimum
• CA EMT State Certification (minimum requirements)
• CPR Certification
• Medical Examiners Certificate (Company will pay for the Medical Examiners Certificate if one hasn't already been obtained)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Occasionally: Climbing, kneeling, running distance, walking, standing, lifting, pushing and pulling

Frequently: Sitting, driving, hearing/listening, and seeing.

Receive a $500 SIGN-ON BONUS. (Receive $250 after 90 days and receive the remaining $250 after 6 months of employment)
