General Description
The mission of the Operations Analyst is to increase the effectiveness and productivity of the Distribution Center leadership team by providing structure, processes, tools, and thought leadership. This is not an executive admin position but instead a strategic partner. The Operations Analyst will be a key member of the management team and is responsible for ensuring all administrative, financial, and operational aspects are running smoothly. This includes owning and leading cross-functional initiatives, driving accountability within the team, promoting continuous process improvements and building a culture centered around employee engagement and LS&Co values.
About the job:
  • Provide oversight and guidance to the organizational planning, budgeting, safety practices, and metrics
  • Budget management, done in partnership with Finance team
  • Use LEAN and Six Sigma methodologies to develop and sustain world-class organizational effectiveness practices to streamline operations and increase productivity throughout all operational teams
  • Collaborate on business decisions, site communication, business priorities, and other cross-functional initiatives
  • Audit site 5S and safety compliance, metrics, and ensure standards are followed
  • Lead all site communications, including drafting written material, preparing visual aids, presentations, and providing talking points
  • Organize and facilitate meetings (e.g., employee town hall, monthly business reviews), including agenda management
  • Manage and lead all site leadership team meetings.
  • Lead all employee engagement initiatives, including creating and maintaining a meaningful recognition program, coordinating volunteer events, planning onsite employee events, conducting employee surveys, and managing feedback into actionable items for the leadership team
  • Lead special projects that align to the site and company’s strategic business plans
  • Create an equitable and inclusive environment that promotes collaboration
About you:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field
  • Proven experience planning and leading strategic initiatives; driving results in a cross-functional environment
  • Expert collaborator and communicator; ability to build trusting relationships across the organization
  • Comfortable seeking opinions from individuals or teams, actively listening, brainstorming, challenging ideas, and finding consensus
  • Ability to analyze large amounts of data, spot trends, pursue solutions, and translate data into actionable information
  • Knowledgeable regarding lean manufacturing and change management (5S, Gemba, Kata, Muda, etc.)
  • Solid financial experience
  • Strong operational and execution skills (planning, problem solving, etc.); ownership to get the job done
  • Experience coordinating large and small meetings/events (executive visits, employee engagement events, site tours, volunteer opportunities, etc.)
  • Adaptable to a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment; must be versatile and willing to assist where needed across the site operations
  • Curiosity to pursue new ways of getting things done
