Havens Orthodontics is seeking a highly motivated person to join our growing team!
We are seeking someone who is energetic, friendly, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. You will be expected to interact and provide excellent customer service and patient care to our wonderful patients and their families.
Willing to train the right candidate! Both inexperienced and trained orthodontic assistants are welcome to apply.
This position will be rotating between Washington, Romeo, Imlay City, St. Clair Shores, Clawson and Sterling Heights communities in Michigan. We will explain how that works in the interview.
Duties:
- Assist the orthodontist during examinations and procedures with patients.
- Prepare the patient for the orthodontist by taking x-rays and impressions, performing preliminary examinations and collecting diagnostic data
- Take directions from the orthodontist and anticipate their needs as well as the patients' needs.
- Inform patients of pre-op and post-op instructions.
- Prepare for procedures by organizing instruments and equipment.
- Sterilize and disinfect orthodontic instruments and equipment.
- Input information into our computer system to keep accurate records.
- Work closely with office management and support staff throughout the day.
