PACS Application Analyst III, Binghamton (Remote)

United Health Services is seeking a PACS Application Analyst III to join our IS Ancillary Applications Team in Binghamton, NY. The PACS Application Analyst III position will be responsible for evaluating department policies and procedures and recommending solutions to upper management. This is a BENEFITS-ELIGIBLE position.

PACS Application Analyst III Overview

The Applications Analyst III is accountable for production support, high availability of supported systems, project management, process improvement, quality assurance, and customer satisfaction. This role will be responsible for evaluating department policies and procedures and recommending solutions to upper management. This additional role is part of our IT retention plan, giving analysts a career path/opportunity to further develop their skills within IT.

PACS Application Analyst III Key Responsibilities and Expectations

Certified in multiple EHR applications or applications (if applicable). SME/go-to resource for workflows and problem solving/troubleshooting for multiple applications/modules. Independently owns workstream activities for complex tickets or projects across multiple Epic modules and/or applications. Translates relevant system processes to a broad variety of audiences. Serves as a key technical resource for multiple teams, projects, and/or enhancements.

Analyzes and presents complex information to key stakeholders, both leaders and end users, leveraging a broad knowledge of EHR and/or application functionality across multiple modules. Utilizes robust skill sets with appropriate analysis and presentation delivery.

Serves as a subject matter expert for issues that extend across multiple IS pillars and functional areas. Understands the hardware and security limitations and how to effectively problem solve to achieve success. Collaborates with Build and Plan Pillar to scope enhancements or projects.

Develops best practices related to integrated build. Represents UHS in industry presentations (HIMSS, UGM, XGM, etc.) communicating innovative design and build to meet health care and business specific policies. Serves as subject matter expert on tickets, decisions, end to end workflow, future health care regulations and policy that may impact system design and configuration.

Able to work independently across multiple applications. Identifies creative solutions independently and applies a broad knowledge of application/workflow/integration including those areas outside their primary applications. Provides recommendations on solutions identified while highlighting pros and cons of those solutions.

Produces business cases and seeks approval from senior stakeholders on complex decisions including preparing decision documents. Facilitates patient safety escalation sessions independently, resolves complex security and ticket issues.

Independently leads transitions from build or projects including soliciting feedback from peers. Serves as a SME across pillars to efficiently scope projects, track and trend metrics, setup work groups/processes to improve metrics.

Stays open-minded and encourages others to bring new perspectives and thoughts to help solve complex problems

Develops materials independently and supports department wide initiatives including change control, testing initiatives, upgrades, projects and special updates.

Independently owns respective governance meeting facilitation with operational counterpart(s).

Position Qualifications

Minimum:
High School Diploma or equivalent

Three (3) years of clinical, Healthcare operations, revenue cycle, information technology or healthcare information technology experience.

Epic Experience required.

Radiology Technologist experience is required for this role
Current Epic certification

Preferred:
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (information technology or clinical/healthcare fields)

Epic Positions: Certification in one or more Epic applications.
Project Management Institute (PMI) Certification or equivalent certification.
