The Park & Grounds team maintains athletic/sports fields, tennis and basketball courts, restrooms, picnic pavilions, sidewalks, park signs, landscape beds, trees, playground equipment, fences, boat ramps, irrigation systems, multi-use trails, parking lots, and lighting of various types.

The Parks Maintenance Tech I at Braden River Park you will be an important addition to a highly motivated staff dedicated to the upkeep and beautification of the park. Your responsibilities will include athletic field maintenance and game preparation, landscaping, tree trimming and weeding. Also included in your day will be cleaning bathrooms and emptying trash cans, mowing grass, working on irrigation, and completing repair projects as needed.

Job Description

What You Will Do


  • Athletic fields maintenance and turf management
  • Game prep for soccer, softball, baseball, etc.
  • Mowing fields including landscaping and grounds maintenance.
  • General custodial duties
  • Irrigation repair and renovation

Minimum Qualifications

Required Skills


  • High school graduate/equivalent.
  • One (1) year experience as a Parks Maintenance Tech or a tech a related field.
  • Valid Florida Driver's License within 30 days of hire
  • Must meet Parks Maintenance Tech Career I Ladder training and certifications requirements within 12 months of hire.
