Pediatric Medical Assistant Job at Acton Medical Associates, PC
Acton Medical Associates, PC is hiring medical assistants for our Littleton Office location pediatrics department.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Interview patients, measure vital signs, such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height, and records information in patient records.
- Work with the front desk staff to maintain patient flow.
- Perform phlebotomies as needed.
- Prepare specimens and test requests and forwards to lab; ensure tests and charges are recorded in EMR
- Perform EKGs.
- Prepare treatment rooms for examination of patients.
- Maintain the clinical environment: Cleans, stocks all patient care areas and cleans instruments daily.
- Submit supply orders.
- Maintain cleaning schedule log per OSHA plan.
- Monitor hazardous waste pickup.
Qualifications
- Graduate of a Medical Assistant Program.
- Medical Assistant Certification required.
- Able to accurately take vital signs and perform phlebotomy and administer vaccinations.
- Electronic medical record and practice management software experience a plus.
This position is mainly located in our Acton office, but occasional shifts in our other near-by locations may be required.
Signing bonus available for qualified candidates.
Note: Candidates with prior experience may qualify for higher starting rate.
