The Manager of Planning S&OP NOAM- Regional Supply Chain, leads the development, deployment, coordination and organization of the planning product supply process, enablement and continuous improvement efforts in the supply chain organization. This role will serve as the process owner for the S&OP workstream and manage a delivery process-focused team to identify and execute processes across Oterra’s NOAM regions to drive short and long-term strategic goals related to growth enablement, value delivery, and global process/system harmonization.

The Manager of Planning S&OP must also be an effective partner with Global Supply Chain Strategist, Regional Supply Chain Leaders, Sales, Operations, Procurement, and Finance for the S&OP process to achieve the best possible customer delivery performance and optimize the use of inventory, production sites and Oterra networks to service customer demands at the highest level. This includes ensuring our planning considers material and capacity availability when providing a commit to our customer and ensuring we collaborate to load an achievable Master Production Schedule.

This role will be base in NOAM HQ in Mt. Pleasant, WI. Report into the Head of Operations, NOAM with dotted line report into Global Head of S&OP Master Data

Responsibilities

  • Understand and document the Sales and Operations Planning process and the impact on the Master Production Schedule. Translate the S&OP into and executable scheduling. Being the plant representative in the supply chain community & an active member of the supply process for the factory with S&OP and factory team.
  • Being responsible for ensuring an achievable Production Plan and Schedule is in place to support both customer requirements and Oterra´s revenue projections.
  • In developing a solid Production Schedule, consideration must be given to materials availability, equipment capability/capacity and staffing.
  • Selection of Master Production Schedule, Material Requirements Planning or Re-Order Point strategies and setting of parameters
  • Setting of buffer / safety stock levels through the production process and supply chain
  • Recovery of Excess and Obsolete inventory according to customer contract
  • Strong data analytics skills, gathering, processing and presenting large data sets in digestible format.
  • Serve as expert on all levels of the process and end-to-end function, interactions, and dependencies with other processes.
  • Define and communicate a clear vision for sub-process across the operating model. • Support the Global Process Owner in the execution of a global strategy for an end-to-end process including associated policies and technologies.
  • Review sub-process performance for issues, opportunities to improve performance; develop recommendations.
  • Develop and operationalize applicable reporting and analytics to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of sub-process.
  • Participate in process governance to provide input on items such as process scope and assist in resolving operational issues.
  • Drive the development of the future of the end-to-end business process design at the subprocess level.
  • Ensure completeness and consistency of the process design and sub-processes. • Drive the rollout of the end-to-end process and sub-processes.
  • Develop and translate sub-process strategy into operational goals and objectives. • Collaborate with corporate functions, data owners/stewards, and peers to ensure consistency and alignment across policy, process, and data.
  • Collaborate with the business, corporate functions, and Global Business Services to ensure resources are properly trained on process, policy, and systems.
  • Provide change champions and supers users with the training and skills to oversee, coach, and train others in the proper execution of the process.
  • Enable supply chain to generate productivity savings and operational improvements by proactively partnering with regional and site leaders.
  • Build a high-performing team and engaging work environment to develop and coach direct and indirect reports; h ire and lead change-inclined and analytical warehouse and continuous improvement team.
  • Foster an environment of empowerment for Planning professionals that drives engagement, retention, and inspires others to own and drive results.
  • Operate with a customer-focused mindset to identify and manage continuous improvement projects that create value for Oterra’s customers.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; structured communication of supply chain business problems, associated analysis, and resolutions via slides and prose formats.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher; business, finance or technology management focus preferred.
  • 10 years minimum experience in Supply Chain and S&OP framework
  • Diverse roles and increasing leadership responsibilities in major projects and programs.
  • Experience leading projects for supply chain operations, programs, and enterprise risk departments.
  • Demonstrated customer experience improvement initiatives.
