POSITION SUMMARY:

Must be open to working 1st and 2nd shift

Under the general direction of the Maintenance Manager has the responsibility for maintaining the plant in a clean and orderly condition inside and out. Responsible for building and grounds general duties as it relates to the EMS Program, including but not limited to special waste and appropriate auditing.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Maintains a clean and safe work environment throughout the plant facility. Includes cleaning/painting/waxing equipment, floors, windows and walls.

2. Maintains all plant exterior landscaping as assigned by the Maintenance or Plant Manager.

3. Removes trash and cardboard containers daily from all plant areas inside the facility and all external trash containers around the perimeter of the building.

4. Perform inspections on the floor scrubber and responsible for the preventative maintenance schedule.

5. Change filters on AC units & PM AC units

6. Maintain exterior rack storage areas, exterior recycling and trash hopper areas.

7. Empty daily trash & cardboard containers and trash cans at entrance doors.

8. Perform Preventative Maintenance on smoke eaters and fire suppression systems.

9. Perform inspections and repairs on building lighting and monthly lighting PM’s.

10. Perform monthly Sprinkler PM’s

11. Perform monthly Environmental Management System PM’s.

12. Perform daily central lube system PM’s.

13. Perform daily evaporator PM’s.

14. Sidewalk salting and snow removal.

15. Various facilities fabrication projects.

16. Perform monthly crane and chain inspections.

17. Perform various machine cleaning projects.

18. Adheres to all safety guidelines and monitors facility for potential safety concerns.

19. May participate on one of the councils or problem solving task forces.

20. Performs light maintenance or fabrication and other related activities.

21. Support TS 16949 and ISO 14001 Systems.

22. Adheres to all safety regulations.

23. Treats all Team Members with respect and dignity.

24. Performs other tasks as assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School diploma or GED. Meet minimum qualifications as defined in the Hudson Ind. selection process.

SPECIAL SKILLS / REQUIREMENTS:

  • General construction skills
  • Skilled in operating and maintaining power tools and equipment.
  • Knowledge of basic safety procedures and precautions.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.

MAJOR PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Team members must be able to stand on concrete floor for the duration of work shift, walk, push, pull, reach overhead, bend to the floor, and use arms and hands.
  • Visual precision is needed for reading documents, machine dial gauges, and possibly blueprints and precision measuring instruments.
  • Team members may be hired to fill specific area vacancies; however, all team members are expected to be able to work in all areas.
  • Must be able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and repetitively lift up to 40 pounds from and to a height of 10-56 inches for the work shift. .

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Stamping & assembling factory environment, and subject to high noise levels from operational machines and physical hazards from moving equipment and machine parts.
  • Compliance is required regarding all Safety, PPE, Quality and Environmental requirements.
  • Assignments may be outside and may occasionally require work in inclement weather, as well as dirty, wet, noisy and cramped spaces.
