We are hiring people excited to be part of a like-minded team working together to support preschool students. We have open Teacher's Assistant positions for Ed Tech Is, IIs, and III on our Westbrook, New Gloucester, and Waterville campuses. We offer paid training and BHP and Ed Tech certification.
Full-time Ed Techs are eligible for $1,500 bonus after 6 months of employment.
Our Pineland Preschool is an easy 30-minute commute from both Lewiston and Portland!
- The Pineland campus is beautiful, with easy access to: green spaces, nature trails, a YMCA, a market, and a cafe!
Pay: $15.00 to $18.00 Hourly, commensurate with education and experience
Schedule:
- Our Teacher's Assistants work Monday through Friday between 8am and 3:30pm.
- We are hiring both full-time and part-time. Full-time employees work 37.5 hours weekly .
- Our preschools are open year-round.

Woodfords Family Services is seeking compassionate and enthusiastic individuals to work as Teacher's Assistants and Ed Tech Is, IIs & IIIs to support children ages 2 to 5 who have autism, and intellectual and developmental disabilities.
- Teacher's Assistants & Ed Techs teach students in our preschool skills to help them be successful at home, in school and in the community. They work alongside other Teacher's Assistants, teachers, clinicians, and therapists, including BCBAs. Teacher's Assistants & Ed Techs receive paid training and become certified BHPs. They learn how to effectively use Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to help young children gain new skills and meet goals.
Teacher's Assistant & Ed Techs Role:
- Ed Techs work directly as Teacher's Assistants and provide hands-on support to preschool students while helping them meet their individualized goals. They are an important part of the team that works together to guide preschool students toward fulfilling their potential for cognitive, social and emotional growth and maturation. Teacher's Assistants work independently with a preschool student and collaboratively with the Early Childhood Services program team, which includes Board Certified Behavior Analysts, Speech Language Pathologists, and Licensed Clinical Social Workers.
Teacher's Assistant Qualifications:
- Ed Tech Is
- High school diploma, GED, or HiSET
- Ed Tech IIs
- A minimum of 60 college credit hours required (college coursework in special education, early childhood or a related field preferred)
- Ed Tech IIIs
- A minimum of 90 college credit hours required (college coursework in special education, early childhood or a related field preferred)
- A minimum of two (2) years' experience preferred
- Desire to work with children with special needs
- Ability to work a year-round, Monday-Friday 8:00 am - 3:30 pm schedule
- Good documentation skills
- A positive attitude and high energy-level
