Raytheon Technologies is seeking a candidate with supply controller responsibilities within the Materials Management Organization in support of the APC Advanced Product Center located in McKinney, Texas.

This role supports programs that operate in a fast-paced environment and requires an individual that forms data driven decisions that will support the factory. Candidate will operate in multiple shop floor control and Material Requirement Planning (MRP) related systems to ensure alignment between material position and production schedule.

This role will work closely with the material management team members, factory, supply chain and operations teams, to ensure program execution. In this role the ownership and use of metrics will be key to maintain system health and drive the level of performance that will support customer expectations.

Duties Include:

  • Evaluating and coordinating program requirements to ensure a controlled flow of materials and services to meet customer requirements

  • Providing status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials, and services are provided as needed

  • Working daily to confirm material supply availability

  • Prepare purchase requests for components based on a master production schedule, shop load, and inventory requirements

  • Working with program support staff to resolve material shortages and other issues impacting product implementation

  • Reporting on and troubleshooting MRP system generated exceptions; and taking corrective action on unfavorable trends as necessary

  • Conducting quarterly physical inventory cycle counts and reconciling the system

  • Expedite the movement of parts by means of move orders, stock transfers, etc.

  • Performing movement of material to and from the factory, pack/ship (or other area) as needed

  • Responsible for maintaining stacked LOB and extracting impact data for weekly analysis in support of IPT/PPR meetings with programs

  • Attend and support weekly program and factory meetings


Required Skills:

  • 5 years of prior related experience

  • Production planning, supply chain management, operations research, business or another related field

  • SAP knowledge and experience

  • Experience using Material Requirements Planning (MRP) processes and/or software

  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and environment

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with SAP, Kinaxis, CMES or similar software

  • Motivated and takes on challenges with minimal direction, with the ability to recognize when something needs to be done and react accordingly

  • Ability to understand complex systems and processes

  • Ability to apply Raytheon Core concepts to improve departmental, factory related, and cross-departmental processes

Preferred Skills:

  • Experienced and effective communicator (presentation skills, written and verbal communication)

  • Ability to apply critical thinking techniques, using logic and reasoning to identify approaches to problems, and the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, Power Point)

  • Experience in manufacturing, industrial engineering or related manufacturing engineering ideally in a government contractor environment similar to Raytheon Technologies

Typically Requires:

  • A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
