We are seeking a Production Artist to join our enthusiastic team of creative professionals. Market of Choice is an independent, family-owned grocery store chain consisting of 11 stores, all located in Oregon. This is a great opportunity to advance your creative career with a growing organization!

As a member of the marketing team, you will report directly to the Vice President of Marketing. Some of your job duties may include:

• Prepare weekly ad file compiled from multiple files including Excel, Word, and photo files
• Prepare final proofs with quality standards for design and accuracy within assigned timetables
• Complete price corrections, copy corrections, and image corrections for print ads and other sales promotion materials within given deadlines
• Know the advertising process and organize all work to the documented standard including:
  • Ad template design standards and expectations
  • Electronic file use and documentation
  • Electronic file storage
  • Linkage to original or native documents prior to release to publishing support
  • Maintaining all production process protocols
• Communicate clearly and effectively with members of the marketing, creative, and production teams to resolve any production issues
• Work with department managers and data team to verify accuracy of prices, messaging, and imagery
• Prepare ads and additional electronic files as needed
• Use the company browser, supplier sites, and stock photography sources to retrieve images
• Working with outside vendors
• Drive and drop off materials to and from printers and our warehouse which may require heavy lifting

This position requires:

• Superior accuracy and attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) plus one-year digital production, or a combination of relevant education and experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop.
• Experience with photography and photo editing
• Ability to work evening and weekend to meet deadlines on an occasional basis.
• Current Driver's license
• Ability to deliver and pickup marketing materials
• Familiarity with industry/technical terms and processes
• Ability to work within rigid time frames and resolute deadlines
• 60 WPM typing
